Description: |
The Emerging Neighborhoods Fund is designed to quickly deploy resources to neighborhoods facing various challenges. The goal is to address potential problems in neighborhoods before they become more serious, and more expensive, to address later. The 2008 Operating Budget doubles the size of the Fund to provide the City with more resources to address emerging challenges in areas such as public safety and poverty. The funding shall be determined by a bi-monthly process where applications are due the 15th of the month prior to decisions being made by the committee. COMMITTEE DISBANDED WITH THE ADOPTION OF THE 2009 CITY BUDGET. |
