Description:

The City of Madison intends to rebuild East Washington Avenue to meet present and future transportation demands, while placing an emphasis on improving aesthetics and improving pedestrian linkages. The reconstruction is expected to take place from 2004 to 2009. The recommended plan is to transform East Washington Avenue into a gateway-type street. The Oversight Committee's purpose is to identify and address issues important to the neighborhoods and to provide input and direction to City staff and the consultant. COMMITTEE DISBANDED 1-19-2007.
