2/11/2009COMMUNITY SERVICES COMMITTEEA motion was made by Mary Czynszak-Lyne, seconded by Joanne Brown to receive and file a written statement by Enis Ragland on the proposed curfew change. Motion passed by voice vote. Mary O’Donnell handed out a Summary of Juvenile Curfews in 17 Dane County Municipalities and described the issues surrounding the proposed ordinance change. A motion was made by David Wandel, seconded by Paul Van Rooy that the Community Services Commission oppose the proposed curfew change. A friendly amendment was suggested by Mary Czynszak-Lyne and accepted by the motioners. The motion will read, the Community Services Commission strongly encourages the Common Council to oppose the modification of the curfew hours for juveniles. After some discussion, Mary Czynszak-Lyne called the question, which was unanimously passed. Motion passed by the following vote:Pass
