| Notes: The motion also provided for initial approval of the Chandler Street improvements for a façade alteration and emergency generator enclosure with the following to be addressed:
· Submit samples of both the terrace enclosure and Chandler Street façade materials including lighting.
· Provide details on the appearance of the existing cinder block building and dumpster enclosure, as well as context for the overall Chandler Street building façade and streetscape relation.

| Notes: Melissa Huggins, 202 S Park St, registered in support, stating that Meriter will be back before the Commission for an official advisory opinion on the April 6th agenda. She went through a presentation on the overall Meriter Campus Master Plan, noting that the Campus includes a landmark building (Longfellow School) as well as another building (McConnell Hall) that is not a landmark.
Jody Shaw, 15 Ellis Potter Ct, registered in support, and presented images further illustrating the plan, including the future demolition of McConnell Hall and potential addition to Longfellow School. Mr. Levitan asked for more information about the new addition to Longfellow School at the next meeting. Mr. Stephans request additional street views of Longfellow School. Ms Gehrig asked staff to include the Longfellow School landmark nomination in their packet.
Paul Schoeneman, 1108 E Gorham St #3, registered in opposition stating he is familiar with McConnell Hall and is in favor of keeping the building instead of building a parking garage. He added that even keeping the facade would be preferable.
There was no action taken by the Commission, as this was an informational presentation. |

| Notes: The motion to refer provided for address of the following:
· Bring perspective and working drawings which are consistent.
· Look at reworking overhead door handling including providing options the use of EIFS on upper elevations of the enclosure along with adjusting the upper band to read more cohesively with the adjacent existing structure and provide for a different treatment for the lower elevation.
· Look at a different treatment for the people door, reexamining the opening pattern on the enclosure to relate to the patterning on the adjacent existing structure.

| Notes: After the vote, the motion required the following:
· Donor signage should be located at doors and entries on ground level entries only and shall be at human scale. Plantings shall be provided beneath the hanging ground sign to protect walkers.
· The see-through “ER” door sign shall be more opaque to allow for better view-ability for ingress and egress.
· The emergency signage on the parking ramp shall be as portrayed within application packet.
· The proportion of the tower element of the horseshoe entry ground sign needs to be reworked so as the main sign is not in conflict with the proportion of the vertical column element.
