TRANSIT AND PARKING COMMISSION
A motion was made by Wong, seconded by Sanborn, to RECOMMEND TO COUNCIL TO ADOPT - REPORT OF OFFICER Julie Maryott-Walsh and Kamp reported that, in 2006, Metro went out to request for proposal the rights to sell and manage interior and exterior bus advertising (after another ad company defaulted on their contract with Metro). Adams was selected because their proposal had the “highest minimum” amount for advertising in the first year (i.e. they are willing to pay the most); and they have a strong local presence with a good reputation and connections in the community. The motion passed by acclamation.
